Executive Function Skills as a whole allows us to set goals; plan how to complete a project; prioritize tasks; organize time, materials and information; shift approaches flexibly; control behaviors for task completion; and hold and manipulate information in working memory. Effective executive function skills are required for success in school and the world beyond.

Executive function continues to develop in the prefrontal cortex of the brain until at least the age of 25, often later in people with ADHD or other learning differences.

The good news is that these skills can be improved, but to affect real change – develop new habits and systems – requires weekly practice and parent involvement.

“I’d like to really just gush about how grateful I am to work with you and watch the miracles you perform with our precious kiddos!

“I met with Christine every week this year. I really appreciated the assistance in essay writing, as well as making me keep organized. She got me into a lot of habits that I didn’t have before, such as checking my written planner and paying attention to what situations caused me to be stressed.”

— Jacob, High School Sophomore

“I want to tell you how much we appreciate everything you have done for Logan this year. He has gone on record to say how helpful your sessions have been and feels like you should meet with his sister, who will be starting middle school next Fall.”

— Mom of an 8th grade client
